Anyanwu makes shot of his career as Cardinals stun Stateliners

Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Phillipsburg Stateliners hosted the Plainfield Cardinals in the quarterfinals of the NJ state playoffs. This was a rematch of the OT thriller back in January and the game lived up to its hype. Both teams battled back and forth throughout the whole game. The contest wouldn't be decided until the final mintue. Michael Gordon missed a 3 with 19 seconds, but Xander Anyanwu got the offensive rebound and put it back to give the Cards the lead 50-48 with 15 seconds. The Liners had a chance to win it with 7 seconds on the clock, by Michael Scerbo Jr couldn't connect on a 3 and Plainfield came away with the upset!! Abyanwu stated the Cardinals put NJ on alert after the game!
