Greetings sports fanatics! Today the Moravian Greyhounds played host to the Susquehanna River Hawks. The Hawks got on the board first thanks to a 1 yard sneak by QB Josh Ehrlich. Matt Sturz would add a 1 yard run himself to give Susquehanna a 13-0 halftime advantage. The Greyhounds had a chance on the last play of the 2nd quarter, but Jake Schultz stuffed Jared Jenkins on the 1 yard line. The Greyhounds came out hot to start the 2nd half, as Jenkins found Jordan Bingham for a 27 yard score and a two point conversion cut the deficit to 13-8. On SUs next drive, Tommy Grabowski punched it in from two yards in to make it 20-8 River Hawks. Ehrlich added his second score of the game to increase SU's lead to 26-8. Moravian would make it interesting in the 4th as Jenkins would hit Brad Bryan to make it a 26-14 game. However, the River Hawks would add an exclamation point, as Grabowski ran the ball in from 12 yards out to make the final 33-14! The River Hawks's defense was led by Parkland grad Jesse Ruisch, who had a career high 8 tackles, including 2 for a loss. Ruisch stated it was a great win heading into their bye week!
